presentation Changing the world of liquid chromatography

A system of the future TerraSep LLC, a separations technology, research and development company in Silicon Valley, California, has successfully developed
an operational Engineering Prototype of a revolutionary new separation system based on Centrifugal Liquid Chromatography (CLC).

A new type of separation

The TerraSep prototype includes the first working online real-time detector for CLC and consistently produces chromatograms with multiple columns in an on-line, real-time environment. The prototype has been shown, at this stage, to provide separation efficiency of at least 43 times higher than traditional HPLC. Implementation of engineering and chemistry enhancements currently underway should further improve separation efficiency.

A powerful prototype

  • Extremely high separation power
  • Hundreds of simultaneous separations
  • Microscaled separations
  • Analytical scale separations
  • Prep scale separations
  • Multiple simultaneous detectors

Opportunity

TerraSep's CLC represents a leapfrog technology that will replace High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). Today, HPLC is the 3rd most widely used scientific tool in the world with an annual, global market for equipment and consumables of ~$5B USD and a 10% CAGR.

Technology

TerraSep has developed a first generation Engineering prototype of CLC and is seeking additional investment of $3.0M Series A financing to develop a Pre-production prototype that can be licensed or acquried by an existing technology company within the next 18 months.
